#challengeaccepted Origin of this challenge is fighting femicide and domestic violence as happening in Turkey today. #turkishwomenmatter Thank you to the many phenomenal women in my life. My mother, no longer here, was one of them. She taught me “you can if you think you can”. She told me that women are a community and we must support and help one another. She taught me that words are valuable and we must use them wisely. I am surrounded by loyal, hard-working, Women who believe in the values of respect and change. We educate one another, we help one another, and we mentor one another. Thank you to all my dear women friends. (Including my 🌈’s!) As a tribute to you all, I’ll share this poem from one of my favorite phenomenal women, Maya Angelou. Phenomenal Woman

Pretty women wonder where my secret lies.
I’m not cute or built to suit a fashion model’s size
But when I start to tell them,
They think I’m telling lies.

Just some summer moments, fully posing on the dock, ☺️😄, identifying flowers, growing zucchini, hanging the pride flag 🌈 , more peach panzanella with RED basil! Surrender. Yet in between all this beauty- imma lyin if i didnt admit anxiety. I want people to b able to return to work. So- i wear a mask whenever i am not home. Ps the bird is a green heron.

Congratulations @yoolayla. You made an arts commune when @atbennington got shut down due to #covid. You all continued your work, creating sculptures, ceramics, film, and debating how to b better world citizens. In the process, you made dear friends, & you refused to give up. You graduated!!!!! SO GLAD TO HAVE MORE ARTISTS IN THE WORLD!! (They only had one hat during the ceremony, and each student passed it and moved the tassel from the right to the left when their name was called! The caps all showed up just as the celebration ended - so we could get some beautiful photos!
